PROTECTED LEARNING TIME (PLT)

The Surgery closes for the afternoon from 1.30pm to 6.30pm for staff training.  If you need to see a doctor or require advice during this time please contact the new emergency number on 111.  Find below listed the PLT dates for 2017 so far.

NEW text message appointment reminder service

Please keep us updated with your mobile phone number so you can recieve a text message to remind you of appointments you have booked.  If you wish to opt out of this service, please contact the surgery so your number can be removed from the text message system.

Out of Hours

The surgery uses the local doctors co-operative MKUCS to cover the Out of-Hours emergencies. If you have a serious medical problem when the surgery is closed, ring the surgery number and the answer phone will give you the number of the emergency switchboard.

Cancelling your Appointment

If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

CERVICAL SMEARS
Routine smears are available with one of the Practice Nurses by appointment. Please inform the receptionist when you are making the appointment that you will be having a smear test. You may be recalled by letter if your smear is overdue.

CHILD HEALTH SURVEILLANCE
The practice undertakes routine development checks in association with the Health Visitor during the first five years of your child’s life. All doctors are registered for Child Health Surveillance.

Monday to Friday by appointment with GP The Midwife runs clinics Mondays to Friday by appointment.

ASTHMA
Patients suffering from asthma are seen regularly in the clinic which is run by the Practice Nurse.

CORONARY HEART DISEASE
Patients with a history of heart disease are seen regularly in the clinic which is run by the Practice Nurse.

DIABETIC
Diabetic patients are seen regularly in the clinic which is run by the Practice Nurse.

FAMILY HEALTH ADVICE CLINICS

A  member of the health visiting team is available via telephone at the surgery Monday to Friday, 9 to 5pm.  There is an answerphone facility so please leave a message if your call is not answered

BABY CLINIC
Baby clinic is open on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am to 11.00am.  The clinics are held on the 01st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at The Rowans Children's Centre 13A Moorfoot Fullers Slade Milton Keynes MK11 2BD.

WEIGHT & DIET
By appointment with the Practice Nurse.

WELL PERSON
By appointment with the Practice Nurse.

CONTRACEPTIVE ADVICE
All the Doctors provide contraceptive services during normal surgery hours.

SMOKING CESSATION CLINICS
By appointment with the Practice Nurse.

immuniseFLU VACCINATION
In accordance with the Department of health guidelines, we recommend an influenza vaccination for patients with chronic heart disease; lung or kidney disease, diabetics and all patients aged over 65.

MINOR SURGERY
Some doctors carry out minor surgical procedures. You will need to make an appointment.

OVER 75 HEALTH CHECKS
We offer a health check to all patients aged 75 or over. If you are able please make an appointment to see the Practice Nurse.

VACCINATION AND IMMUNISATION
Children Vaccination takes place daily by appointment with the Practice Nurse Adult’s Routine vaccination and travel immunisations are carried out by appointment with the Practice Nurse
