Due to the current COVID-19 situation pharmacies have become increasingly under pressure. This is due to patients/customers needing assistance with over the counter items i.e. paracetamol, thermometers, hand gels etc.
Electronic prescriptions
All prescriptions are now going to be sent electronically to your local pharmacy. If you are not registered for this service please complete our online Register for Electronic Prescriptions form.
Under normal circumstances the time for sending prescriptions electronically from the surgery to the pharmacy can take up to 2 hours.
Now with the increased volume this may take longer and we are asking patients to allow 48 hours for your prescription to be processed by the surgery and another 72 hours for the pharmacy to dispense.
