We understand that there are some anxieties surrounding the speed of which vaccines are being administered

Please be aware that we are sharing our vaccination duties with our PCN (Primary Care Network). Our PCN is made up of Purbeck, Stonedean, Sovereign, Neath Hill, Oakridge and ourselves here at Wolverton.

As a PCN we have been focusing on groups 1-4 as per the government’s instructions, and this includes health and social care workers, the extremely clinically vulnerable and those over 70 years old. We are making fantastic progress.

Like anything, there are barriers which are slowing down the vaccination process. Some of these barriers include, vaccine availability – you will have heard Professor Chris Witty speak of this during the daily briefings. AstraZeneca have not confirmed further delivery dates for the vaccines, which makes clinic planning very difficult.

As a PCN we continue to ask for your patience, we will contact you as clinics become available. We have a huge list of names that we are working through, so if you haven’t been contacted yet this means we haven’t quite reached you on our list.

As a surgery we also ask that you please ensure all of your contact details are up to date, we have had incidences where we have been unable to get in contact with patients in groups 1-4 because their contact numbers were not in service.

We understand that this is a frustrating time for all, but as the death toll exceeds 100,000 people we ask that you continue to observe the current lockdown measures by staying at home and staying safe.
